Village Fair @ Comboyne has added and changed several exhibitions in 2011. The floral art and fine arts displays have moved from the hall to the Catholic and the Anglican churches. The "4B3" art exhibition will be bigger and can be found at the showgrounds. An exhibition of digital photography art and story writing can be found in the shed behind the Community Centre.
4B3 Small Art Exhibition"Forest Fantasy"Artists are invited to use their imagination to create a piece with the theme, "Forest Fantasy" The only other criteria is that it is presented on a 40cm x30cm stretched canvas. Any media may be used and the piece can be attached to the canvas. We are particularly encouraging children to enter and canvasses will be supplied free to teachers who want to enter their class. Entry is free. Canvasses are available from Comboyne Community Centre at $2 each or from your local supplier When your work is complete, attach a string, and write your name, division and contact details on the back of the frame. Completed works can be dropped off at the Comboyne Community Centre or arrangements for collection can be made by phoning the number below. Floral Art Exhibition
The flower show has had to be down-sized so a new approach was decided upon. In 2011, the flowers will be displayed in the Catholic church at the top of Thone St. No theme to date, but who knows what can happen between now and September. |
Fine Artists' ExhibitionLucy Pasquale This exhibition can be found at the top of the hill in the Anglican church on the corner of Landsdowne Rd. 'My work is inspired by the natural world, capturing the ever changing light and colour throughout the seasons. Water lilies are one of my favourite subjects as I find they reflect tranquillity and harmony. My travels through Europe provided the opportunity to view the works of many great artists, interact with fellow artists in Venice and Rome, and develop my own unique style. The works I will be exhibiting are of water lilies, flowers and Mediterranean landscapes in pastel, oils and watercolour. All works will be for sale. |
